Losing a child is one of the most horrific things a parent can go through. One WAVE Country couple decided through that pain they would find a way to help other children in memory of their son.

Of the children who receive the gift of reading from the Imagination Library, some are blind. Their books, written in Braille, are made by inmates at the Kentucky Correctional Institution for Women in Shelby County.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Louisville will provide a free book each month to children who enroll, from birth until their fifth birthday. The program gives children coming from different socioeconomic backgrounds the opportunity to get on the same page.
